Intermediate Training Requirements
For Intermediate Training, all dogs must:
- have proof of up to date vaccinations
- wear a flat collar, Martingale, Easy Walk Harness, Halti or Gentle Leader
- step-in harnesses will be accepted for dogs under 15 lbs, or for those with respiratory issues or predisposition to tracheal collapse.
- dogs over 15 lbs must use a collar, head halter or Easy Walk Harness.
- have a leather or nylon lead - 4-6 feet in length (no retractable leashes please!)
- preferably be spayed or neutered if older than 7 months, but not mandatory
- any dog that is ill or otherwise unwell
- choke chains or prong collars
- retractable leashes
- aggressive tendencies
- excessive barking
- females in heat
