Puppy Socialization Classes

"Puppies begin learning at birth and their brains appear to be particularly responsive to learning and retaining experiences that are encountered during the first 13 to 16 weeks after birth. This means that breeders, new puppy owners, veterinarians, trainers and behaviorists have a responsibility to assist in providing early learning and socialization experiences with other puppies/dogs, with children/adults and with various environmental situations during this optimal period from birth to 16 weeks of age."

Description

We take Puppy Socialization very seriously here at Whatta Pup! - we encourage you to do the same. A socialized and trained dog has a much lower chance of biting, being surrendered to a shelter, or euthanized. Let's get started on the right paw!

Our Puppy Socialization Class starts when your puppy is ready and is available four (4) times per week. Buy a pass and attend up to 2 classes per week for the remainder of the pass.

This fun-filled Socialization Class prepares your puppy for a lifetime of excellent social skills. We provide an enriched, stimulating environment with:

  • various textures to walk on
  • a tunnel to run through
  • crutches / a walker
  • an umbrella
We also play low-intensity sounds in order to desensitize and counter condition your puppy as early as possible. Some examples are: thunderstorms, city sounds, fireworks, children, and baby noises.

Our focus is on prevention and proactive training.
